“Flowers have their times, they must be picked at the right moment: when they open and there is bright sunlight”
Barbara Ghirardo

Everything began with a small idea, a piece of unused land and a small plant of thyme. When the company where Barbara was working declared bankruptcy, she decided to start her own business: cultivating herbs and medicinal herbs. Herbs such as malva, thyme, echinacea, wild fennel, savory, lovage, masterwort, primula and many others. Initially used to make potpourri sachets to perfume linen, today Barbara works with pharmaceutical companies, supplying raw materials suitable for thousands of preparations but also for infusions, and she uses vegetables from her garden next to the herb garden, to make preserves to be eaten with cheeses, preserves such as onion, green tomatoes (excellent with fontina cheese!) or celery and red peppers. While Barbara’s work is quite demanding and takes many hours  of work, her love for her work makes it easier. Nature needs to be followed and accepted, be it rain, sunshine or wind. It needs to be transformed, in the most respectful and genuine way possible, into products that can envelop all those who taste them with the perfumes, care and passion of the territory.  ©Dispensa
